Caitlyn Jenner Mourns the Sudden Death of Friend and Manager Sophia Hutchins


MALIBU, CA – July 4, 2025 — In heartbreaking news, Sophia Hutchins, best known as Caitlyn Jenner’s close friend and manager, has died at the age of 29 following a devastating ATV accident near Jenner’s Malibu residence.



According to authorities, the tragic incident occurred on July 2, 2025, when Hutchins lost control of an off-road vehicle, striking another car before plunging nearly 350 feet into a ravine. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene. Thankfully, the occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed.


Sophia Hutchins was not only Jenner’s longtime confidante but also an accomplished entrepreneur and transgender rights advocate. She was the CEO of the skincare brand Lumasol and served as executive director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, which supports transgender individuals and communities. The two had shared a residence in Malibu since 2017.


Jenner Has Yet to Issue a Public Statement


As of now, Caitlyn Jenner has not made a public comment regarding Hutchins’s death. Sources close to the former Olympian say she is “devastated and in shock.”


This tragic accident comes just weeks after Caitlyn Jenner’s tense trip to Israel, where she had to shelter from missile attacks during a Pride Week event in Tel Aviv.
